Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, speaking with young people, parents and teachers through public information points and community events. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public news eu migration health and civic responsibility.”
